| Citazione: | Among the accepted by-laws, the board accepted three major changes. The first one is in relation to indoor shooting where a further distinction is made between compound and recurve. Two new seperate target face for compound and recurve were introduced that shows only the specific 10 scoring zone which is 2cm for compound and 4 for cm for recurve. This will make it easier to follow an indoor competition.
The second change is for the 3D and Field Rounds where the instinctive bow has been more distinct from the barebow. The riser will have to be of a natural material such as wood, horn or bamboo and not from aluminium or carbon. They also can no longer use a stabiliser. The athletes will however no longer be forced to use the traditional Mediterranean grip and be allowed to do face or string walking.
The last one is in relation to the registered testing pool for anti-doping. The new rule allows more flexibility for the inclusion of the athletes, and therefore more targeting for out of competition testing. This will improve even further the quality of the World Archey clean sport program, which at the same time was outsourced to the Sport Accord organisation.

La notizia NON è molto chiara, ma sembra che i bersagli indoor vengano suddivisi tra OL e CO con la stampa solo del 10 piccolo per i CO e solo del 10 grande per l'OL.
Ora, siccome si parla di "due" nuovi bersagli, si potrebbe intuire che si faccia riferimento alle triple verticali per i 18 mt, che diverrebbero bersagli differenti per le due divisioni (ma se la finale della Indoor Wolrd Cup a Las Vegas sarà sui bersagli ... Las Vegas , la differenziazione ai fini televisivi delle triple verticali soltanto non serve a nulla...)
Se si trattasse di una differenziazione globale, questa andrebbe ad influire su tutti i bersagli indoor, che sono 3 per i 18 mt e tre per i 25 mt.
Ma i bersagli attuali saranno ancora utilizzabili? Quali bersagli e fino a quando? Queste sono le preoccupazioni pratiche di chi organizza gare a livello locale, dei produttori, distributori e negozianti.
Ancora una volta si diffondono notizie parziali senza fornire i termini di applicazione delle nuove regole.

In realtà, i nuovi bersagli sono 4:
Triple Verticali 40 cm R(icurvi)
Triple Verticali 40 cm C(ompound)
Triple Triangolari 40 cm R(ricurvi)
Triple Triangolari 40 cm C(compound)
Le verticali R e C saranno obbligatorie per i Campionati del Mondo.
Le verticali e le triangolari normali rimangono in apparentemente in uso libero.
Le triangolari R e C non si capisce bene chi mai le utilizzerà e perchè dovrebbe farlo, visto che le finali di coppa del mondo a Las Vegas si fanno sui bersagli ... Las Vegas, che sono simili alle targhe FITA triangolari ma hanno sfondo grigio e necessitano sempre del 10 interno per gli shoot off compound della gara di Las Vegas.
